They are looking for looking for a candidate with knowledge and experience in civil design for linear infrastructure projects and who is willing to develop a career within a global organisation.
You will work on engineering design and production of technical studies. You will be supported by other technical centres overseas.
Your responsibilities will include:
▬ Active participations in the technical components of the project: drafting and/or production supervision of reports/calculation notes, specifications, and production supervision of drawings or BIM models
▬ Coordinating the various internal (designers and drafters) and external technical stakeholders (partners, railway infrastructure owner, etc.)
▬ Acting as designated client contact and, advising and supporting them throughout project execution
▬ Being involved in the interface management of rail system preliminary design
Participating in internal, innovation and continuous improvement focus working to further develop our service offerings and technical reference system.
You'll have a Bachelor"s degree in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent). Post-graduate qualifications are not essential but will be highly valued.
Your skills and experience will include:
▬ A track record of achievement in a similar role, with 5-8 years" experience in an engineering design consultancy. This could include experience in railway, geotechnical and/or structural engineering
▬ Design skills including: options development and evaluation, knowledge of international codes, use of design standards and practices for civil / railway infrastructure in Victoria, experience in geotechnical software
▬ Experience of project delivery models other than "design only" and/or of the works" stage are desirable, but not essential
▬ Well-developed technical and non-technical report writing skills
▬ Meticulous attention to detail, combined with the ability to balance this against broader strategic considerations/big-picture thinking and customer service
▬ Appropriate Australian working rights/Visa permissions but will consider overseas candidates
▬ Able to work in a multicultural environment with high quality and technical requirements
▬ Adaptable, enthusiastic and goal-driven
▬ Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
▬ A capable, curious and tenacious problem solver
▬ Attention to detail, autonomous, rigorous and organised,
