Our client is a market leader providing technology products and associated services to the rail industry. They offer support tools that can be used for advanced planning of railways and for real time and near real time decision making for operating railroads. Our Client base is Railway Owners and Operators in the public and private sector and suppliers and contractors to Owners and Operators. This company currently has a position available for a System Support Engineer in Paris, France to work with one of our clients. Applicants must speak FRENCH.

Responsibilities:
Primary
- Provide customer support relative to the contract SLA using the client's JIRA support software
- Tests management and system acceptance
- System performance analysis
- Commercial development and technical collaboration with customer
- Provide technical customer support and act as the interface with the product team

Secondary
- Customer requirements capture and analysis
- Analyse business processes, operational context, technology environment from our customers
- Recommend optimal business practices, system functionality and behaviour
- Assist the customer with product development and system integration
- Capture and analysis of software logs to assist customer development and investigations
- Conduct trial projects
- Draft user manuals and training documentation
- Conduct training sessions with our customers
- Support customers use of the solutions
- Keep abreast of the company's product development and promote to customers
- Customer account management

Your home base will be Paris - France. Travel to other locations and overseas may be required from time to time. Candidates must be fluent in French and English in order to be considered for this role.

 
Job Requirements

 

- Needs a minimum of Bachelor or Master's degree in science, software engineering or an Engineering discipline

- Human Machine Interface design
- Database skills (SQL, queries)
- Script programming (Python, R)

- Programming (C#, C++) is advantageous
