Our client is seeking 2x Senior Specialists, Quality, Health, Safety & Sustainability Office to provide & promote effective a positive quality based health, safety and environmental culture to ensure compliance with QHSE standards, regulations, policies and procedures to maintain a free injuries, hazards and accident workplace.

Key Results Accountabilities:
* Continuous improvement of QHSE programs and risk management to minimize risks and hazards.
* Provide training on hazards, risk control, QHSE practices, accident management and reporting procedures when required to promote the QHSE culture within the company.
* Obtain proposed changes related to QHSE aspects by Liaising with SRRPD.
* Develop and update corrective and preventive action plans with proper root cause analysis.
* Develop, implement and ensure compliance with the company's QHSE strategies, plans, polices, standards, procedures through applying international best practices.
* supervise and undertake independent investigation of railway accidents and other safety incident events and make recommendations to improve safety and prevent further occurrences.
* Conduct QHSE internal audit and inspection, and ensure compliance with the company's QHSE. Planned audits and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
* Ensure that all departments investigate and report accident/incident and recommend Proactive solutions to reduce the frequency and severity of accidents based on accident data and in compliance with QHSE standards and procedures
* Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.
* Prepare, maintain and analyze records that includes but not limited to; incidents and accidents, emergency response exercise and drills.
* Develop and ensure the implementation of procedures for Crisis Management, accident/incident investigation & reporting, costing of injuries, ill health, damage and promotion of action to preclude their recurrence.
* Manage studies, benchmarks, best practices in all QHSE related projects
* Participate in strategic planning for Rail and monitor key performance indicators for departments.
* Conduct risk assessments and mitigation measures, and ensure its implementation across all agencies and sectors.
* Manage regular QHSE meetings with management and stakeholders.
* Prepare weekly and monthly QHSE reports, statistics and presentation to top management.
* Supervise & Manage QHSE performance of Agency contractors, consultants, partners and suppliers.
* Supervise the preparation & implementation of DGEP requirements through departments

 
Job Requirements

 

Education
* Bachelor degree in Engineering: Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil/ Industrial/ Mechatronics from a recognized university, Master preferred, with rail experience.

* Knowledge of principles, concepts, and requirements of environmental risk assessment;
* Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
* Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
* Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications

* 8 years of professional health and safety engineering experience
