Our client is seeking a Risk and Change Lead to work on fixed-term, full time contract position in Brisbane.

Position Purpose: The Risk and Change Lead will be responsible for managing the identification, assessment and mitigation of risks that could impact the program's delivery. In addition, the resource will manage change processes to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations. This expertise is critical to sustaining program momentum through proactive risk management, while enabling controlled change and seamless integration into business operations across multiple stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:
Risk Management
- Establish and maintain the Program Risk and Opportunity Management Framework.
- Lead risk and opportunity management activities across all workstreams.
- Maintain the integrated risk, opportunity and issue registers.
- Facilitate qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
- Conduct risk workshops and periodic risk reviews.
- Monitor treatment actions and risk reduction effectiveness.
- Coordinate escalation of critical risks and issues.
- Support contingency management and risk-based forecasting.
- Provide risk reporting to governance forums and executives.
Change Control
- Establish and maintain the Program Change Control Framework.
- Manage the Program Change Register.
- Coordinate Change Control Board meetings and approvals.
- Assess change impacts across scope, cost, schedule, risk and benefits.
- Ensure approved changes are incorporated into program baselines.
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of approved changes.
- Support configuration management and baseline governance.
- Provide integrated change reporting and trend analysis. 

 
Job Requirements

 

- Extensive experience in risk management and change control on major projects or programs. 
- Knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks and project governance. 
- Experience facilitating risk workshops and executive-level reporting. 
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 
- Experience in transport, infrastructure or rail environments desirable.
