Our client is seeking a PMO Lead to work on a fixed term, full time contract position in Brisbane.

Position Purpose: Lead the Program Management Office (PMO) and Program Controls function for the ETCS Program, establishing and maintaining the governance, assurance, planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, change control, reporting and performance management frameworks necessary to achieve successful program outcomes. The PMO Lead acts as the principal advisor to the Program Director on program performance, providing integrated insight across scope, cost, schedule, risk, change, benefits and delivery readiness to support informed decision-making and effective program governance.

Position Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the PMO and Program Controls team.
- Establish and maintain the Program Management Framework and associated procedures.
- Oversee planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, change management, reporting and assurance functions.
- Ensure integration of schedule, cost, scope, risk, benefits and performance information across all workstreams.
- Provide independent challenge and oversight of delivery performance.
- Lead development and maintenance of the Integrated Program Management Plan.
- Establish and maintain program governance frameworks and reporting systems.
 -Coordinate Executive Steering Committee and governance reporting.
- Oversee forecasting, trend analysis and program performance monitoring.
- Sponsor and coordinate assurance reviews, audits, health checks and gateway reviews.
- Ensure compliance with client's governance requirements and assurance obligations.
- Lead development of recovery plans where performance deviates from approved baselines.
- Drive continuous improvement and PMO maturity initiatives.
- Manage PMO resource planning, development and capability uplift.
- Foster collaborative relationships with Queensland Rail, delivery partners and external stakeholders.

 
Job Requirements

 

- Extensive experience leading PMOs or Program Controls functions on major infrastructure programs. 
- Demonstrated leadership of complex rail, transport or infrastructure programs.
- Advanced understanding of Program governance, planning and scheduling, cost management, risk management, change control, assurance frameworks, and earned value management.
- Experience managing executive reporting and stakeholder engagement. 
- Experience working across multi-stakeholder delivery environments.
