Our client is a premier architectural firm in Asia, and they are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Senior Architect (Rail) to work in Malaysia.
Our client is seeking local Malaysian candidates for this role and ideally, candidates should be registered Architects with LAM (Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia).
Responsibilities:
Determine project goals to ensure the project supports business objectives and strategies.
Take the role of a Project Lead in project administration and design issues.
Lead and manage a team of architectural personnel to ensure efficient use of resources.
Prepare master programme / schedules and monitor project milestones.
Track project deliverable and ensure projects are completed within budget and meets an acceptable quality standard.
Monitor and track internal project team time and cost
Ensure timely submission to all deadline commitment.
Well-versed in regulatory and Statutory requirements
Liaise and coordinate with consultants on all specific design, building requirement and code compliance.
Coordinate all disciplines involved in projects (e.g. architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical, interior design and landscaping, etc) from design stage to completion.
Design development and preparation of tender drawings, requiring sound understanding and experience in construction detailing to faithfully translate design intent.
Document, control and manage issuances of changes.
Manage contractual issues.
Oversee progress of on-site work and resolve any arising design issue.
Develop client relationship.
Job Requirements
Graduate with a Degree or Masters in Architecture;
Experienced professional with a minimum of 8 years dedicated to transit and rail projects (MRT / LRT depots would be a bonus)
Proficient in Revit with practical experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM)
