Our client is seeking a Senior Specialist, Planning & Business Development to manage scheduling and related analysis for urban, feeder, intercity, cost-sharing and seasonal bus services so plans reflect the client and PTA policies, operational realities and service quality needs as well as analyse data, streamline processes, resolve complaints and coordinate stakeholders to enhance reliability and efficiency.
This role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and our client is seeking local Emirati candidates for this role.
Salary range for this role: USD 7,000 - USD 8,400 per month (all inclusive)
Roles and Responsibilities
Accountabilities:
Strategy
• Schedule urban, feeder, intercity, cost-sharing and seasonal bus routes in line with client's policies to align network operations with strategic coverage and service objectives.
• Solve scheduling-related issues innovatively and provide workable solutions to complaints raised about services and schedules.
• Engage PTA stakeholders, Marketing and Corporate Communication, and committees to prioritise schedules and improvements, ensuring agreed timelines, OTP and CRM reporting, and alignment with efficiency and major event requirements.
Operations
• Analyse bus running-time data and other factors affecting public transport operations to support day-to-day decisions on timetable adjustments and resource use.
• Review existing and proposed schedules to improve service quality and equalise driver work hours in coordination with operations representatives.
• Coordinate with OCC and bus operations for trip analysis, monitoring of schedule adherence and implementation of agreed service enhancement actions.
• Coordinate with the scheduling system vendor when performance issues arise to maintain stable, reliable scheduling system operations.
• Create and maintain public bus network and operations databases in the scheduling system, and provide performance, OTP, and service change reports to PTA stakeholders and CEO forums.
