Our client is bidding for work in Singapore, and they are seeking a Design Manager with trackwork experience to include as part of their bid. 

 

The Design Manager oversees the technical design process, ensuring drawings and specifications align with client requirements, budget constraints, and safety standards. They coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage design consultants, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards for construction projects, particularly in infrastructure. 

 

Key Responsibilities

- Design Coordination: Lead and manage the design process from concept to completion, ensuring all technical submissions are accurate, complete, and on schedule.

- Interface Management: Coordinate with design consultants, subcontractors, authorities, and clients to resolve discrepancies in drawings and manage the interface register.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs conform to regulatory standards, safety codes, and quality standards, proactively identifying and mitigating design-related risks.

- Technical Support: Review design output, identify potential gaps, and propose cost-effective, high-quality construction methods.

- Team Leadership: Lead and support engineering staff to maintain high productivity and ensure best practices are shared across teams.
