Our client is bidding for work on the ETCS Sector 1 North Project in Brisbane and they are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of ETCS RAMS Engineer. 
 
The ETCS RAMS Engineer is responsible for performing RAM and safety assurance activities across the S1N ETCS L2 project to ensure that all systems are designed, implemented, and operated in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. This role oversees the identification, assessment, and management of safety risks, ensuring that safety assurance processes are integrated into the project lifecycle.
The key objective of the Systems Integration team is to ensure safe deployment of ETCS L2 on schedule.
The ETCS RAMS Engineer roles and responsibilities are expected to evolve as the Systems Integration activities are progressively defined.
 
Position Responsibilities            
Core scope for this role will include, but will not be limited to:
• Identification, assessment, and management of safety risks across all ETCS delivery elements.
• Development and maintenance of hazard logs, ensuring that all hazards are identified, assessed, and mitigated effectively.
• Conduct safety assurance activities, including risk assessments, safety audits, and compliance reviews, to support project milestones and certification requirements.
• Conduct RAM engineering tasks for integrated ETCS system.
• Development of ETCS integrated system safety case
• Review and collaborate with contract package deliveries.

 
Job Requirements

 

Role Requirements       
* 7+ years' experience in systems engineering and safety assurance in rail signalling projects, preferably ETCS or digital signalling.
* RPEQ qualification or ability to obtain.
* Demonstrated experience conducting safety analysis and preparing safety cases.
* Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to align activities with project objectives and delivery milestones.
