Our client is bidding for work on the ETCS Sector 1 North Project in Brisbane and they are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Package Director, Trackside Solution.
The Package Director, Trackside Solution is accountable for, and leads, the S1N ETCS L2 Trackside solution works packages:
* Trackside solution development
* Trackside solution integration
* Trackside solution technical planning
* State Laboratory (ETCS Readiness)
* Traffic Management System (TMS) / Possession Management System (PMS) Expansion
Ensures the State Laboratory and trackside solution work packages are ready for system level testing and commissioning on-time, within budget and in alignment with SI, ETCS vendor (including DRS vendor) and QR stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities
Core scope for this role will include, but will not be limited to:
* Leading and overseeing project management, technical, commercial and contractual inputs to achieve target program.
* Provide transparent, executive-level status, risk and decision reporting
* Provide leadership over vendor contract management, ensuring suppliers deliver to agreed technical, schedule, safety and commercial obligations.
* Oversee ETCS contract management forums, performance reviews, commercial negotiations, change control, and escalation pathways
* Influence "best-for-program" behaviours and outcomes across the ETCS L2 program.
* Provide leadership for future ETCS L2 deployment work packages, including early development, scoping, vendor engagement, technical planning and delivery oversight.
* Accountable for the delivery of the State Laboratory and the trackside ETCS L2 solution, ensuring all interfaces (DRS, TMS, PMS, adjacent signalling) are engineered and controlled.
* Ensure commercial frameworks reinforce integration behaviours and deliverables (PCA, interface agreements).
* Orchestrate subsystem-level testing & commissioning with QR and delivery contractors; contribute to integration reviews/readiness forums.
* Establish and maintain the package-specific Interface Management Plan and interface registers; align with configuration baselines and assurance gates.
