Our client is seeking locally based candidates for the role of Welding Support Operations to work in Brisbane.
Job purpose is to ensure timely processing and entry of customer orders and quotations and coordinate the Warehouse and Dispatch activities to ensure timely deliveries.
Key Areas of Activity & Responsibility:
Batch Testing
Batch testing is conducted ensuring all batches conform to Australian and Customers Standards
Tasks for batch testing include:
- Incoming goods inspections. Ensuring appropriately recording QA related issues such as Non-Conformances
- Test welding, ensuring welders assistant maintains the most up to date testing of batches
- Rail Welding for Batch Testing
- Hardness Testing
- Load Testing
- Completion of all related forms for Batch testing, along with Certificates.
- Reporting of any non-conformances to Welding Supervisor or Technical Manager
- Liaising with Railtech International and Customers with Test results
Warehouse Support
Coordination preparation of customer orders, ensuring documented procedures for dispatch are maintained.
Involvement in completion of Stock take, and reporting of stock variances
Control of Quarantined stock (after incoming goods inspection). Ensuring Quarantine warehouse items are processed and dealt with ASAP
Technical Support
Assistance to Technical services Engineer in providing technical reports for internal and external purposes.
