Our client in Malaysia was awarded a contract in 2024 to refurbish the Malaysian Railway's fleet of 44 locomotives and 246 wagons leasing them back to the Malaysian Railways over a period of 25 years. As part of this agreement they will also be responsible for the scheduled maintenance of the fleet of leased locomotives and replacement wagons. They are now looking for a Project Engineering Manager to support their activities in Malaysia. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

-    Technical lead and subject matter expert for all engineering-related activities with a reporting line of a multi-disciplinary portfolio of engineers
-    Responsible for the design stage including the preparation, submission and approval of all engineering documentation and deliverables
-    Providing solutions and designs that meet the requirements and specifications of the contract, are in-line with international standards and best practices and that meet the project requirements (timeframe, budget, feasibility, etc)
-    Anticipates and manages the technical risks of the Project from end-to-end
-    Supports the Project Manager/ Project Director as the liaison for internal and external stakeholders for all technical matters
