Our client is bidding for work on the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) in India and they are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Chief Safety, Health and Environmental Expert – Underground (National).
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead the Construction Safety, Health and Environment team to perform the following tasks: 1. Review and approval of provision in the bid documents in respect of all aspects related to Construction Safety, Health and Environment. 2. Establish Safety Management System covering the comprehensive safety management in whole railway system which shall include; safety requirements for disaster protection of fire, flooding, earthquakes and lightning, train operation rules. 3. Develop emergency procedures including contact networking with hospitals, fire stations, polices stations, military bases, and other organizations, if any. 4. Review, approval and ensure implementation of safety plans, procedures and Method Statement of site work of the contractors. 5. Monitoring safety performance of the contractors. 6. Conducting random and periodical safety audit of all works in the project and report with recommendation for improvement.
Job Requirements
- Below 65 years preferred for all positions as on last day of the month before the month of bid submission deadline
- Graduate in relevant field (minimum requirement)
- Postgraduate in relevant field (advantageous)
- Overall ≥25 years of experience in Transport & Logistics
- ≥9 years of experience as Chief Safety, Health and Environmental Expert – Underground in Transport & Logistics
- ≥03 Eligible Assignments as Chief Safety, Health and Environmental Expert – Underground
