Our client is looking for a Safety Assurance Expert for the Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP) Phase 1, (Valenzuela to Paranaque). 

The role is highly prescriptive and requires a seasoned, time-served professional with extensive experience in delivering end-to-end safety assurance across all phases of a major rail project.

The candidate must be capable of leading the full safety lifecycle from design assurance, hazard identification and management, verification and validation, safety case development, and coordination with the Integrated Operations Team (IOT), through to certification for trial running, partial operation, and ultimately operational readiness.

This position is critical to ensuring full compliance with the applicable EN standards, regulatory requirements, and project safety governance.

 

The Safety Assurance Expert is responsible for embedding safety assurance from concept to operations.He or she will be responsible for leading and managing all safety assurance activities throughout the metro system lifecycle, including interoperability with regional rail network, ensuring that the projects system meet the required safety reliability and performance standards in full compliance with EN 50126/50128/50129, NFPA-130 and applicable local regulatory requirements.

The role integrates safety assurance process across all stages of the project, conducts systematic reviews to prevent failures and ensures safe and compliant operations. The role ensures that hazards are properly identified, assessed, and effectively controlled, that all required safety evidence is produced, verified, and maintained and that the safety achives the necessary certification/authorisation for Partial Operability, Interoperability, and Full Passenger Operation
