Our client is bidding for work on the NCRTC/GC for Delhi-Gurugram-SNB Namo Bharat Corridor Delhi- Gurugram-SNB Namo Bharat Corridor.

They are looking for suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Chief Safety, Health and Environment Expert (Underground).

Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead the Construction Safety, Health and Environment team to perform the following tasks:
- Review and approval of provision in the bid documents in respect of all aspects related to Construction Safety, Health and Environment.
- Establish Safety Management System covering the comprehensive safety management in whole railway system which shall include; safety requirements for disaster protection of fire, flooding, earthquakes and lightning, train operation rules.
- Develop emergency procedures including contact networking with hospitals, fire stations, polices stations, military bases, and other organizations, if any.
- Review, approval and ensure implementation of safety plans, procedures and Method Statement of site work of the contractors.
- Monitoring safety performance of the contractors.
- Conducting random and periodical safety audit of all works in the project and report with recommendation for improvement.
- Conducting inquiry into safety lapses and accidents and submitting recommendation for accident mitigation measures based on this review.
- Instruct the contractors to provide sufficient safety devices and sign boards for own safety as well as safety of general traffic and pedestrians.
- Advise the Environmental Expert to undertake environmental monitoring and take necessary mitigations.
- Assist NCRTC on supervision of contractors regarding to the site safety and labour health.
- Any other roles and responsibilities required to be performed to complete the project and assigned by the PD/Employer.

Job Requirements

- Graduate in Engineering in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical with Full time Post Graduate/ Advance diploma/ MBA in Industrial Safety with working Knowledge of reading, writing and Speaking in English.

- Minimum 20 Years post minimum qualification experience in Infrastructure sub sector related to Transport & Logistics.

- Relevant Experience - 05 years' experience for Preparation, Implementation and monitoring of safety Management system and emergency procedures regarding construction safety, Health & Environment for underground in Infrastructure sub sector related to Transport & Logistics as Chief Safety, Health and Environmental Expert or equivalent position.

- The period of relevant Experience at the position immediately below the proposed position in organization shall also be considered but its weightage for the period shall be 50%. (For example, 02 years will be considered as 01 year).

- Total experience as Chief Safety, Health and Environmental Expert or equivalent will be evaluated considering the period as Deputy Chief Safety, Health and Environmental Expert or equivalent with the weightage mentioned above.

- Eligible Assignment - Must have Experience of one "Eligible assignment" as Chief Safety, Health and Environmental Expert or equivalent position or one level below to the proposed position or one level below to the proposed position.

- The period of Eligible Assignment at the position immediately below the proposed position in organization shall also be considered but its weightage for the period shall be 50%. (For example, 02 years will be considered as 01 year).

- If assignment period is more than 2 years on a particular project, the number assignment will be considered as follows:
Min. 4 years = 2 Assignments
Min. 6 years = 3 Assignments
