Our client is seeking the services of experienced professionals in integration (of major infrastructure projects) to lead, manage and support critical integration activities between Stage 1, Stage 2, signalling works packages and interfacing projects for The Wave (Rail).

 

They are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Director, Technical Integration.

 

The Technical Integration Director is responsible for leading project-wide technical integration, interface management, configuration control, and testing & commissioning, ensuring integration efforts are managed consistently across the project lifecycle and packages. The Director, Technical Interface ensures that interface management, configuration management, and testing & commissioning processes align with the integration strategy and regulatory requirements, acting as a key representative within the state-side 'integrator'. The key objective of the Integration team is to ensure safe operation of passenger services and delivery of all Project Sponsor Requirements by 2032.

Core scope for this role will include, but will not be limited to: 

* Lead project-wide configuration & interface management activities ensuring technical alignment, control and traceability is maintained.

* Oversee the development and maintenance of interface management processes including the refinement of an overarching interface register, Interface Definition Sheets (IDSs) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).

* Develop (with delivery partners and other package representatives), lead and oversee project-wide testing and commissioning activities and processes.

* Work with the commercial team to ensure that interface and integration responsibilities are incorporated in commercial documentation, contracts and interface agreements and monitor them throughout project delivery.

* Chair Technical Integration working groups, including technical interface forums and commissioning readiness reviews.

* Facilitate coordination across technical working groups and delivery teams to manage risks and drive resolution of interface issues.

* Work with the Executive Director, Integration to develop and lead the Technical Integration team, including mentoring and developing members of the team. 

* Work closely across other functional and package delivery teams, with a strong focus on collaboration and a solution focused "best for program' approach. 

* Exemplify the Wave (Rail) project vibes and the client's values throughout the engagement.   

* Capture and share learnings where required to improve the client's capacity and capability to undertake technical integration across the rail program. 

* Develop reports and presentations as required to support project governance activities and ensure that the project meets other reporting requirements.
