Our client is bidding for work on the Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line-5): Southern Route and they are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Power Supply System Lead Specialist.

 

The Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Investment Project (Line-5): Southern route (the Project) aims to alleviate traffic congestion and mitigate air pollution in Dhaka by constructing the mass rapid transit system, contributing to economic development, and improving the urban environment. The Project is a fast-track project and it is expected to enhance east-west connectivity via the Central Business District (CBD) as there is no single continuous main road in the east-west direction.

 

Major Tasks and Duties

- Report to the Chief Resident Engineer (Railway System);

- Be responsible for supervising the design and installation, testing and commissioning works of the power supply system;

- Review and check the Contractor(s)' design of the power supply system of the entire project in accordance with the Employer's Requirements;

- Supervise the installation's progress, conduct inspections for quality, quantity, and safety, and check the maintainability of the system, facilities, and equipment;

- Assist the Client in testing and Commissioning on completion commissioning of the power supply system;

- Assist Interface Management Lead Specialist in interface management issues;

- Assist in resolving actual and potential claims from the Contractor(s) during the manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning stages.

- Participate in optimisation, cost-benefit analysis and documented solution analysis and

- Assist in System integration for the Railway System.
