Our client is looking for a QC Inspector for a job they have in Hiroshima Japan to work from the end May 2025 through to the end of March 2027 (1 year 10 months).

Equipment/Material:
Two-Car x Rubber-Tire Automated Light Metro Trainsets [Automated People Movers (APM) - Crystal Mover] x 25 Units and to be supplied to an entity in Singapore.

Working Hours:
Eight (8) hours a day for five (5) days a week (Mondays through Fridays).

Work Scope:
The duties of the QC Inspector will include, although will not be limited to, the following:
-  Conduct QC inspections that cover the following train manufacturing, testing, and commissioning activities:
-  Quality Checks.
-  Routine Tests (Static and Dynamic).
-  Pre-Delivery Inspections.
-  Sub-vendor Quality Audits (if necessary).
-  Defect/Anomaly Meetings.
-  Documentation Inspections.
-  Train Delivery Inspections.
-  Overall Assembly Checks.
-  Issue brief reports to the designated person-in-charge at the start and end of every workday.
-  Report all findings to the designated person-in-charge.
-  Issue quality and progress reports as required with photos.
-  Follow up on defects management.
-  Attend quality management meetings if and when necessary.
-  Attend pre-shift and post-shift meetings as required.

The inspector would be sharing the scope with one other Inspector who has been working on the job since July 2024, so he would be able to give you total guidance in what is required for the job.

A studio apartment close to the manufacturing facility would be provided by the client free of charge and  a daily allowance of USD40.00 would be paid by us to cover meals and any other miscellaneous costs.
In addition an annual medical check in Japan would be paid  and accident/health insurance coverage would be paid by the client.

 
Job Requirements

 

The QC Inspector should preferably have the following experience/qualifications, but they are not mandatory:
-  Three (3) or more years of working experience relevant to rolling stock manufacturing. [Experience with Automated People Mover (APM) Systems would be advantageous].
-   Proficient in written and spoken English (if the inspector is also knowledgeable in some basic Japanese, it would be advantageous).
-   A good level of knowledge and experience in quality assurance and quality control management applicable to rolling stock manufacturing and maintenance.
-   A good level of knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes or specialized manufacturing processes such as welding and painting applicable to rolling stock manufacturing.
-   Have a Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
